Say What? - UPDAYED

Children of US Service members born overseas are no longer considered US citizens?  Am I reading this right?

The U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) just issued a new policy guidance stating that the federal government "no longer considers children of U.S. government employees and U.S. armed forces members residing outside the United States as 'residing in the United States' for purposes of acquiring citizenship." The new policy statement also "clarifies" that "temporary visits to the United States do not establish U.S. residence."

I thin that somebody just stepped on his junk with track shoes.  The idea that the child of a service member born overseas is no longer considered a US citizen is the height of stupidity.

When I originally posted this story, that was the story.  Belle came in from work and we began our afternoon activities.  I didn't look at the blog until this morning, when I notice that NBC had a terrible day yesterday.  The updated story is here.  Here is the headline:

I guess all those layers of editors and fact-checkers at NBC were asleep at their desks.  Or, NBC is so invested in Trump Derangement that they will pubish anything.
