Revenge Porn?

Revenge Porn??  Evidently it's a thing, but I admit that I am a bit stunned at the very thought of such a thing, on several levels.

Evidently, it's considered acceptable these days to take nude, personal photos of your significant other.  And, when the relationship ends, some folks think it's cute to post those same pictures on social media to embarrass, humiliate, the ex-significant other.

It's a bad idea, a horribly bad idea on many levels, and it's also against the law in many places.  But, beyond the obvious legal repercussions, I can't imagine taking nudey photos of my gal.  It smacks of being tacky, it is certainly demeaning, and irresponsible.

It's just tacky and trashy.  Not everything on social media is a good thing.  And this thing is particularly nasty.

  1. I agree with you on this one. If only women were not afraid to stand up to what is actually a form of rape, in my opinion. Granted, I am sure that many of the women were not bothered by the taking of pictures. That goes back on their parents not teaching them right.

There are some women who, for reasons of their own, choose to pose for things like a Playboy magazine, or much worse, for money. But I have said before that there are simply some things you should never do for money, nor even consider them. Things like this will come back to haunt these women, if not now, then when their children come of age, and the neighbor kid shows the son a nude layout of their mother.

The pervasiveness of despicable behavior on the 'net has led to the downward spiral of behavior by example. Every new low convinces jerks to try to go even lower. It used to be that if you would be ashamed to tell your mother of your behavior it was a good clue you shouldn't do it. Now it's reached a such a point that many mothers try to outdo you. A pox on all such.
