"We don’t want leverage. We want a real process and time to debate, amend and vote," a Paul aide said. "It’s not too much to ask but [Senate leaders] refuse to do it, time after time."And, he's right. The budget process shouldn't be a hurry-up affair. There should be time to debate, to make changes, to reflect the desires of the people. But, when Republicans are in power, they act like Democrats, both in the nature of the process, and in their spending habits.
It's not too much to ask.
