Harvey's Demise

We listened to rain all night, as Harvey moved out of Texas to the northeast, which means us. Schools are closed today, more out of a concern for flooding and what Accuweather is calling a "tropical downpour:  The school system doesn't want to move kids in this mess.  Winds are out of the southwest at about 20 mpsh.  It isn't bad at all.

Our CFDA family in southeast Texas took a huge hit.  In one way or another, the storm affected each and every one of them. Some lost property, some lost income and jobs due to businesses flooded.    There is no telling what the long-range impacts of Harvey might be, but it will take weeks, if not months to get a final tally.

Don't worry about PawPaw, we're high and dry.  Here is what Harvey looks like this morning, as shot from my garage.

Things should get back to normal around here tomorrow.  Harvey is moving off to the northeast and by tomorrow should be nothing more than a squall line and a memory.
