It seems that one dumbass Democratic congresscritter
has introduced gun legislation based on something he saw in the movie "Skyfall".
A House Democrat inspired by the last James Bond movie has offered
legislation to produce handguns with "personalization technology."
The
idea is to produce guns that can only be used by the gun's owners. Rep.
John Tierney (D-Mass.) cited the latest James Bond movie, "Skyfall," as
inspiration for the bill.
I am becoming more and more convinced that Democrats live in a fantasy world, and the above quote is a perfect example of the fantasy world that Democrats live in. It must be nice to be so out-of-touch with reality. It's a shame that they're running the country.
There's a reason LEOs haven't embraced the "smart-gun" idea: no prototypes have been made that are 100% sure to fire on command of the owner. A gun that won't fire when commnded is a fatal liability.
ReplyDeleteThis technology goes nowhere until it's demonstrated to be foolproof.
Could've been worse- Tierney might've seen "Fantasia".
ReplyDeletePawpaw...we've already got that law on he book in New Jersey. If they ever really make one it will be the only pistol you can buy here. So.... no one has perfected the technology. JimB
