He admitted withholding data about global temperatures but said the information was publicly available from American websites. That's funny, when I was taking science in high school, I was taught that the data must be kept so that other scientists could replicate your work. Everything I've learned since then supports my high school science teachers. Open and honest debate in the scientific field requires that the data be easily available to that other scientists can review the data to check the work to support or criticize the work.
And he claimed it was not ’standard practice’ to release data and computer models so other scientists could check and challenge research.
You only hold back data if your science is faulty, or if you're a charlatan.
In Dr. Jones' case, I'm going with charlatan.
Go over to Random Nuclear Strikes and read the post about Dr. Watts' latest find, the Institute of Physics, which has taken Jones and his ilk apart down to molecular level. Other scientific societies are jumping on the bandwagon. We may be witnessing the dying gasps of the largest Ponzi Scheme ever floated.
