Senator Padilla is an Asshole

So, did you see today that DHS Secretary Kristi Noeem was giving a press conference and some asshole comes charging in,, creating a disturbance.  The security detail pushes him out of the room, face-lants him in the hall, and applies the cuffs.  Just like they should have.  You can see the clip here.

Turns out, this asshole is a US Senator, Alex Padilla from California, and he's all butt-hurt about the troops restoring order in Los Angeles.  Now, this asshole is all like, "If this is the way they treat US Senators"

No, dickhead, this is the way they treat assholes who don't identify themselves and disrupt press conferences where the DHS Secretary is speaking.

Alex Padilla, the senator from California, is a dickhead, a complete asshole, and deserves to be treated just like he was treated.  He's a California Democrat and deserves that kind of treatment every day.  Just for being a dickhead and an asshole.

  1. And a good clip it was. Would have been better though if we could have seen the actual face-plant in the hallway. THAT would have been beautiful!

  2. Play stupid grandstanding games for public attention then expect to end up in handcuffs. He only started saying he was a senator when they were shoving him out the door. idjit.

Senators and Representatives are exempt from Capitol security - but only if they wear a special pin.
Every year there are those who don't wear it and yet expect special treatment. They are universally Democrats and usually Black.

  4. He not only didn't wear his Senate pin, he had his own news crew filming it so it could be released immediately to his supporters.
It was a setup to try and create another martyr.

I wonder if support in his party is dropping and he thought this would help...

  5. To follow-up, now it wasn't a staged event:
Sen. Alex Padilla (D-Calif.), whom most people couldn’t pick out of a line-up before last week, wants America to believe his little performance during a Homeland Security press conference was totally spontaneous. Just an organic moment of righteous frustration, he claims. But we know better—his whole stunt reeked of a desperate cry for attention, and the more he tries to explain it away, the more obvious that becomes.

Appearing on CNN’s State of the Union, Padilla tried spinning his headline-grabbing antics as an innocent attempt to get information. “You can’t script this in Hollywood,” he said with dramatic flair, insisting he just happened to be near the press conference while waiting for a briefing and spontaneously decided to pop in, wearing plain clothes and lacking his Senate Security pin. He was apparently stunned—stunned!—that the press conference didn’t meet his expectations: “Surprise, surprise, no substance came from that press conference, just political attacks.”
