The Fix Is In

Couple of random things caught my eye, but they are only random if you believe in dragons, unicorns, and faeries.

First, the Clintons have promised AG Loretta Lynch a place in the next cabinet.
Having women make up half of her cabinet would be historic (in recent years, a quarter to a third of cabinet positions have been held by women), and Democrats close to Mrs. Clinton say she may decide to retain Ms. Lynch, the nation’s first black woman to be attorney general, who took office in April 2015.
Next, Hillary is using Air Force One to campaign in North Carolina today.
 Today the President of the United States will be in North Carolina, but it’s not for some sort of domestic economic summit or an official meeting with the governor. He’s going there to campaign on the 2016 election trail, and he’ll be giving his friend Hillary Clinton a lift in Air Force One.
Of course, over the weekend, the FBI interviewed Hillary for over three hours as a part of an ongoing criminal investigation into the activities of her and her cronies.  Now, on Monday, she's offering Lynch a job in her administration and she's hobnobbing with Lynch's boss.

Why now?  It's easy.  The FBI is expected to report to Lynch on the completion of their investigation n the next two weeks.
CNN has reported that according to their sources, the FBI will release the Hillary Investigation Report within about two weeks, prior to the Dem National Convention. Timing matters...
Yes, timing matters, and frankly I'm disappointed that the FBI hasn't completed their investigation, and had not completed it several months ago.  Perhaps we'd be through all this drama.  But, Comey couldn't get his crap together and complete the investigation, although I'm sure that like anygood cesspit, the deeper he dug, the more crap he uncovered.

So, what we're seeing is a full-court press on Lynch.  When FBIDirector Comey reports, Lynch will have to decide.  If Comey reports that there is not enough evidence to support a prosecuation, then all this will be moot.  Many of us will figure that the cover-up worked, and that Hillary is still a lying, deceitful harridan. Lynch will be off the hook, as will Hillary in the run-up to the Democratic convention.

If Comey recommends prosecution, then Lynch is truly in a tight spot.  If she declines to prosecute majority of the American people might decide that all bets are off; we are no longer a nation of laws, but an oligarchy of political elites.  At that point, as Kurt  Schlichter so eloquently pointed out;
There used to be a social contract requiring that our government treat us all equally within the scope of the Constitution and defend us, and in return we would recognize the legitimacy of its laws and defend it when in need. But that contract has been breached. We are not all equal before the law. Our constitutional rights are not being upheld. We are not being defended – hell, we normals get blamed every time some Seventh Century savage goes on a kill spree. Yet we’re still supposed to keep going along as if everything is cool, obeying the law, subsidizing the elite with our taxes, taking their abuse. We’ve been evicted by the landlord but he still wants us to pay him rent.
If Hillary walks, the rule of law is over.

**UPDATE** As I posted this, I learned that Comey is going to hold a press conference at 11:00 Eastern.  It looks like we'll get our answers soon.
