The April jobs report is out, and the numbers look a little better for our President. Unemployment is at 8.1%, down from over 9% recently. It's only when you hack into the numbers, you'll find that we're in deeper trouble than we were last year, because people are leaving the job market. The better indicator is the Bureau of Labor Statistics Labor Force Participation Chart, which tells us things that the President doesn't want us to think about. The total percentage of adults in the US who participate in the jobs market is down to about 63%. Think about that for a minute. Of 100 adults in the US, only about 63 of them are actually working.
