No Water for Central California

It seems that there is this fish, the Delta smelt. The damned thing is endangered and the Environmental Protection Agency cut off the water that the central valley uses for irrigation, because that little smelt was endangered. You can go read the whole thing at Hot Air, but the leges have offered a bill to let California use it's water for irrigation and our President has said he'll veto it.
Late yesterday, the White House announced that Obama would veto Nunes’ bill because — I am not making this up — it would “unravel decades of work” on California water regulations … decades of work that brought California’s Central Valley to its current destruction:
The history of the western US is, as I understand it, a history of water rights. The various states have carefully crafted their laws to protect the landowners and people of interest and they've often crafted a delicate balancing act that makes sure there is enough water for everyone. To have the EPA step in and screw it up is an outrage of government over reach.

Now, we have Congressmen writing laws telling the EPA to back off, and our President threatens to veto it. From what I've read, the Central Valley has become a dust bowl strictly due to the meddling of the EPA.

The sooner we get this pretender out of office, the better off we'll all be.
